Albany Film Festival Kickoff
Friday, March 27, 2020
Sample of 3D Projection Mapping
The kickoff to the inaugural Albany Film Festival will include illuminating the night sky and exterior of the Science Library on the uptown UAlbany campus with a dazzling 3D immersive light show that will be the first of its kind for Albany. The technology is known as projection mapping and it will include a narrative of the Capital Region’s cultural legacy and the history of major movies filmed on location in the area. Students, faculty, staff and community members of all ages are invited to experience this dynamic public art display. It will run multiple times on the Science Library’s west façade for four consecutive nights and can be viewed from great distances.
